Yesterday the hubby and I were out and about running errands. And I didn’t have my camera with me. I’m learning that I should just always have my camera on hand.
Why would I need my camera while running errands? Because it’s not everyday you see a Minivan Hearse. Seriously. It was a Dodge Caravan - complete with dual sliding doors. The back had the traditional black capping with the swirly design that all hearses seem to have. (Why?? I don’t know.) I tried to google a generic picture to post but I can’t even find one.
I’m wondering what’s next…. a Hummer Hearse??
I love that if you do a search on Google for ‘minivan hearse’ this blog article is now the 7th returned result.
Nice. Of all the things I blog about this is the one that gets me on Google’s radar… ha ha ha!
Hope you don’t mind me adding to this…the minivan hearse is sometimes used as a hearse and sometimes as just a general utility vehicle for a funeral home. Did I mention I like hearses? Check out the minivan hearse here:

John - Thanks for the link! I’d never seen anything other than the “traditional” hearse. Perhaphs you can shed some light on why hearses have the black caps and scroll on the back?
Thanks for reading and commenting!
Crazy weird! Of course, my friend has a story about a HS student he saw who owned a hearse. Quite the girl magnet, apparently. Throw back to 60’s vans, I guess. “The love hearse.” Total weirdness. lol
I actually just did a post on my blog today about that scroll. It is called a landau bar and is just a design from horse drawm carriages that has stuck. The black caps have to do with the way that hearses are built. You can check out my blob at http://www.myundertaking.blogspot.com.
I’m sorry, I put the wrong web address down. It is actually
